The most memorable fashion-event of our country has already finished. Of course we are talking about Ukrainian Fashion Week - the 37th one, which becomes the most anticipated event among Ukrainian dandies and ladies. What was remarkable about this UFW SS16 - read on MOOW.life.
On October 14-20, the territory of “Mystetskyi Arsenal” became the springboard for the most creative and courageous solutions, vivid images and unexpected collaborations. 54 show, 72 designers, 10 presentations, 19 locations, more than 200 accredited media and about 20,000 invited guests for 7 days such a program was presented at the 37th fashion week this season.
A world famous model and our compatriot Victoria Sasonkina became a face of new ukrainian fashion week season. In addition to her successful modeling career, she also became a muse of Steven Meisel - the world-famous fashion-photographer.
The organizers of the Ukrainian Fashion Week presented this season a lot of interesting innovations. One of them was the usage of both floors of “Mystetskyi Arsenal”. In addition, this year the works of designers have been presented not only on the “Mystetskyi Arsenal” stage, but at various locations around Kiev also.
Traditionally the program of Ukrainian Fashion Week possessed an abundance of leisure options for visitors of the event. Informative lectures, workshops and educational events, lectures of which were successful and famous guests: Adam Katz Sinding (well-known fashion-photographer from New York), Zheraldin Warri (held a lecture on cooperation with companies in the fashion-industry), Masha Reva (Ukrainian designer, the prestigious international award nominee WGSN), and many others.
Together with the "Novy Channel" for the second time was presented the project «Istoky» The project was dedicated to the traditional material culture of Ukrainians from the beginnings to the present day. Special for this project on the second floor of the “Mystetskyi Arsenal” organizers created the exposition with framework of screenings, educational programs and performances. Actually, Ukrainian Fashion Week has once again surprised the guests with its creativity and variety of projects, among which were: # 23-59.com.ua, #HOMME Space by Macallen, #ALL ABOUT FOOTWEAR supported by INTERTOP, # 12x12x12.
However, the main focus of UFW SS16, of course, was on the fashion show. At the opening of Fashion Week spring-summer collection of the next domestic fashion-industry masters were presented: POUSTOVIT (this time presented a vibrant collection in the spirit of youthful rebellion), Victoria GRES, Elena GOLETS, Elena BURENINA with an elegant minimalism, VIKTORANISIMOV, Nadya Dzyak and her romantic futurism style, ALONOVA and NAVRO, with a collection called A Little Chaos SS 2016.
During the following days at the stages prevailed true fashion-extravaganza where were presented the following fantastic brands: NAVRO, Yuliya POLISHCHUK, DOMANOFF, AKANANITA, BOBKOVA, VOZIANOV, BEVZA and FROLOV, ARTEMKLIMCHUK, SEREBROVA, T.MOSCA, Katerina Kvit, Elena BURBA, PODOLYAN, Andre TAN with an extraordinary collection with Pokemons, fringe, bright colors and denim, Iryna DIL ', Ludmila KISLENKO, shocking and Jean GRITSFELDT and ZALEVSKIY, transformed the catwalk into the starry sky, and many others.
After visiting the greatest fashion event of our country, even the most sophisticated guest has remained with a pile of emotions and impressions. Aftertaste after such event is for sure a pride for our country and our talents who represent Ukraine on the world fashion-scene with a masterful dignity again and again.
